Although it would be impossible to know which celebrities have actually employed the MP Concierge service, a simple Google search finds a bevy of high-profile household-names that are MoonPay investors including: Gwenyth Paltrow, Paris Hilton, Snoop Dogg, Post Malone, Justin Bieber, Bruce Willis, and Zoe Soldana (to name a few).
MoonPay is a start up backed by heavy-weight VC firms like Tiger Global. It’s primary function is to allow users to pay for digital assets using credit cards.
The concierge service is still fairly “secretive.” It is unclear what type of surcharge is being placed upon purchases. Additionally, there is some web-chatter that the service has been overpaying for popular NFTs like Bored Ape Yacht Club by as much as 25% (for unclear reasons).
